Blackberry Bold Release Date

When RIM showcased it's new BlackBerry Bold 9000, this beautiful smartphone was expected to be launched in the summer of 2008. As the temperatures drop, the Blackberry Bold is still not widely available, and there is no definite word on a U.S. release date for the Blackberry Bold.

The long delay of such a major product has not been easy on RIM, and its co-CEO Mike Lazaridis is putting the blame on AT&T. He told The Associated Press that this BlackBerry is still going through this carrier's certification process. To quote: "I guess everyone wants to be sure on every last test."  (Let's hope that the extra delays will ensure a smooth release process :)

Although Lazaridis didn't say when exactly the new Blackberry Bold will hit the markets, he, and AT&T representatives, have both said to expect the Blackberry Bold before the end of the year.  With many unconfirmed reports varying widely, some are saying the launch will be the middle of this month, while others are saying it could be as late as Thanksgiving.  Let's hope for a quick, problem-free release date for the Blackberry Bold!
